Application Fee
1.
For foreign nationals from the countries
with which the R.O.C. has entered into reciprocal
visa agreements, the visa is issued gratis.
2.
Single entry: NT$1,200 (US$36); multiple
entries: NT$2,400(US$72).
3.
For US citizens: NT$3,600(US$100).
4.
An additional handling charge of NT$800
shall apply to visitor visa holders who apply for
change or replacement of resident visa application
in the R.O.C.
Notice
1.
Foreigners who come to Taiwan with Visa-Exempt or landing
visa other than Student Visa can not apply for visa
extension with education reason. Non-degree
students can not apply for Visa with student status.
2.
Students
entering Taiwan
under “Resident visa” are required to apply for
“Alien Resident Certificates” (ARC) and re-entry
permits at the local city/county immigration agencies
within 15 days after their arrival.
3.
Students with visitor visa staying for more
than 6 months should apply for Resident Visa. With
Resident Visa, students could apply for ARC within
15 days after their being issued Resident Visa.
Application Procedure
International students could apply for “Resident Visa”
(or Visitor Visa) at the overseas R.O.C. (Taiwan)
missions located in their countries or submit their
visa application to the Bureau of Consular of Foreign
Affairs in Taiwan.
